The Program for Intellectual Empowerment (PIE) is seeking compassionate and skilled part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support neurodivergent individuals in a collaborative, person-centered learning environment.
Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Job Description
At PIE, we do not use ABA therapy; instead, we implement Neuro-Semantic Language Learning Theory (NsLLT) to engage the brain in a way that fosters meaningful learning, communication, and problem-solving. Our approach is holistic and neuroscience-based, empowering individuals to develop life skills, independence, and self-advocacy.
What We Look For:
Individuals who are warm, engaging, and collaborative.
DSPs who thrive in play-based, emergent learning environments that follow the child’s lead.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support neurodivergent individuals in self-expression and skill-building.
Ability to adapt and work as a team in a flexible, evolving program.
What You’ll Do:
Provide one-on-one and group support, fostering independence and confidence.
Facilitate interactive, hands-on learning experiences tailored to each individual’s strengths and interests.
Utilize Neuro-Semantic Language Learning Theory (NsLLT) to guide communication and cognitive development.
Encourage self-advocacy, problem-solving, and social engagement in a supportive setting.
Work collaboratively with the PIE team to create a dynamic and enriching experience for each individual.
At PIE, we value character, alignment with our mission, and a commitment to inclusion above all else. If you are passionate about empowering neurodivergent individuals and creating a world-changing impact in disability education, we encourage you to join our team.
