SOAR
Shaping Opportunities for Achievement and Readiness
(Ages 18+)
Welcome to SOAR! We empower adults 18 and older by shaping opportunities for achievement and readiness through life skills training, career development, and continuing education support.
-
Markets and Events
We empower clients through community markets and events, providing job experience and life skills. In our transition program, they create and sell products, building confidence, advocacy, and independence. Managing booths enhances communication, job readiness, and overall well-being.
-
Community College Courses
Transition program clients attend Portland Community College, exploring interests and career goals while developing independence. With support through admissions and course selection, they learn to balance academics and life skills, preparing for future opportunities.
-
Giving Back to the Community
Our clients give back by preparing and distributing meals to those in need. Through school partnerships, they collaborate with neurotypical peers, building teamwork, food safety, and planning skills while fostering inclusion and social growth.
-
Unified Art Studio
Unified Art Studio is a community hub where life skills program clients develop social skills, independence, and meaningful connections with both neurodivergent and neurotypical peers.
